Statement:
The notion of home examines beyond a physical fixed structure, approaching it as a shifting sense of belonging shaped by migration, lived experience and displacement. Drawing from personal experiences of moving between different homes, the research investigates how longing emerges from the tension between presence and absence, belonging and estrangement, and how these conditions are negotiated through visual fragmentation. By revisiting memories associated with comfort and familiarity, the research considers how
displacement disrupts rootedness while simultaneously allowing traces of home to persist. Through this inquiry, I seek to understand how movement and memory coexist, revealing home as an unstable yet enduring construct.
