In addition to visualising the perspectives, my practice involves time based painting animations to gather data on how the monotony of the mundane bleeds into burnout, by analysing daily paintings made purely on the current feeling of that moment.
Through this process, my practice explores how the mundane is classified as the mundane. Is the mundane purely monotonous, or depending on the perspective, could the mundane not be mundane despite being monotonous?
Year: 2026
Medium: Digital 2D Hand-drawn Animation, Projection
Statement:
An interpretation of what is unseen in an assumingly
monotonous daily life and why certain situations branch
out as so. This work is meant to put a mundane day in
the perspective of 2D Animation to highlight occurrences
that could affect the trajectories of our daily lives without
us knowing and hence assuming that what’s happening
is ‘normal’.
